What F4Goals collects, why we need it, who else handles it, and how to take it all back. Written to be read, not to be survived.
In short
We collect your email, the work you create, and crash reports. Nothing else.
Your data is never sold, and is never used to train public AI models.
You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, in under a minute.
This summary is here to save you time. The numbered sections below are the ones that actually apply.
01

What this policy covers

This explains what F4Goals collects, why, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it. It applies to the web app at f4goals.com and to the Android app.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
02

What we collect

Your identity. Your email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the name and profile picture on that Google account. There is no password: you sign in with Google or with a link we email you.
Your work. The projects, tasks, subtasks, progress values and scheduled events you create.
Usage and diagnostics. Which screens you open and which actions you take, plus crash reports and error traces when something breaks. This is how we find faults we would otherwise never hear about.
We do not collect your contacts, your location, your calendar, or anything from other apps on your device.
03

Why we use it

To run the app: storing your work and syncing it between every device you sign in on.
To sign you in and keep your account separate from everyone else’s.
To generate a schedule when you ask for one.
To find and fix crashes, and to understand which parts of the app are used.
To reply to you when you contact support.
04

Who else handles it

Four companies process data on our behalf. Each one only ever gets what it needs for the job listed here.
Supabase. Our database and sign-in provider. Your account and all of your work is stored there.
Google Gemini. When you ask for a schedule, the titles, status and progress of the tasks involved are sent to Gemini to propose times. Nothing is sent unless you start that action, and your data is not used to train public AI models.
Sentry. Crash and error reporting. A report can include your account ID and the screen you were on when it happened.
Google Sign-In. Used only if you choose to sign in with Google, to confirm you are who you say you are.
05

How it is protected

Everything travels over an encrypted connection and is stored encrypted at rest. Access to your rows is enforced in the database itself with row level security, so one account cannot read another’s work even if the app is asked to.
Keys that could reach other people’s data never ship in the app. Scheduling runs on a server function rather than from your device, so the AI credentials stay out of the app bundle.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you at the email address on your account.
06

How long we keep it

Your work stays for as long as your account is open. Delete a task or a project and it goes from our servers too.
Crash reports and usage records are kept for up to 90 days and then discarded.
When you delete your account, everything above is removed from our servers. See the next section.
07

Deleting your account and your data

You can delete your account from inside the app, at any time, without asking us. Open Profile, choose "Delete account", and confirm. It removes your account, your projects, tasks, subtasks, scheduled events, streaks and stats from our servers, and it cannot be undone.
Deletion happens immediately. Copies inside encrypted backups are overwritten on their own schedule, within 30 days.
If you would rather we did it, or you have lost access to your sign-in, email us from the address on the account and we will delete it for you within 30 days.
You can also ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct something. Use the same address.
08

Children

F4Goals is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.
09

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when what we do with your data changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we will tell you in the app before a change that materially affects you takes effect.
